I initially had a difficult time navigating through the Tuscan landscape because the beauty was blinding me, but of course my awesome sunglasses polarized the hell out of those olive trees. Phew. Close call!
Here I am in Volterra on my way to the Yacht Club, as it would appear from my sweater tied around my shoulders look. However, nothing brings an outfit together quite like my frames. Oh how I love them...
Where to next?

Making Friends with Icy Folks
Earlier this year I met the most amazing man...I can't even recall his name, but I think it started with an 'S.' Something like Stough, or Spoll, or Swo...hmm can't think of it. Anyway, my friend had the most incredible outlook on life. He said to me, "You gotta keep it cool, friend. Look at me, I'm happy, smiling, and I have sticks for arms!"
I said to him, "You know, more people need to think like you. We take things for granted, like warm weather and the ability to walk, and here you are, all cool and collect with only pine cones for eyes."
We continued to hold arms until my dog snatched a pine cone from his face. It was fun while it lasted, but at least I know that I will live each day being grateful for having a healthy body and a healthy soul.
Thanks Mr. Slowman, or whatever your name was. I'll miss you.

A Toast to More Light in the Day
What better way to celebrate Daylight Savings than to drink a nice chilled glass of champagne in Napa Valley? As I sipped my lovely libation and enjoyed the lost hour of sleep I couldn't help but wonder why we actually have daylight savings...silly Americans.
At least I have my Fiction frames to protect my eyes from all the extra sunlight in the day! Ahh...a toast to UV protection!

Covert Ops
I don't know who took this photo. Obviously I was on a covert operation because I know that only my Fiction frames can protect me from the public. I guess I wasn't careful enough, though, as someone or something was able to snap this pic of me. I received it in an anonymous email last night, so if you're out there, don't be shy.

Asian Female Cowgirl
So I just got back from spending 5 weeks in McGregor, Iowa. They have this amazing store called River Junction which rocks. It reminded me of my days growing up on the ranch in Asia, where I was responsible for herding the sheep and collecting eggs. Boy those chickens are feisty!!! Don't cross an angry hen!
I ordered this incredible hat...it cost me a whole day's work, but I'm telling you it'll be worth it when National Asian Cowgirl Day rolls around next month. Love it.

Omnivore's Dilemma
I admit it--I'm an omnivore. Always have been, always will be. Meat is tasty (even buffalo meat, though I feel bad about that). As an omnivore, I was shocked to find out that I have a dilemma. Specifically, too much corn. I've come to find out that it's in everything. And that's bad for us.
As I did more research and began talking to people, I got something of a reputation as an "expert." So, from time to time I don my sunglasses, adopt my thoughtfullest of thoughtful expressions and, when Michael Pollan or other academically credentialed personage isn't available, give lectures on my dilemma. On your dilemma. On The Omnivore's Dilemma.
Your shady friend,
